An exclusive photographic workshop during the Carnival in Venice 2012
Are you looking for the opportunity of a shooting during a masked gala dinner in a venetian historical palace during the Carnival?
More than 50 masks with the typical venetian costumes are there only for us for a full day!!!!

No, it is only the next unmissable workshop "A Shoot in Venice) in February 4th.
The workshop will take place in Ca' Zanardi Palace and in other places usually "hidden" to the mass tourism… in one of the most romantic city of the world.
To whom the workshop is oriented
This workshop held by Marianna Santoni is done for:
• professional photographers, even with a decennial experience;
• advanced photo amateurs;
• entry level passionate photographers.
The workshop is for beginners and for professional photographers who have a decennial experience. It foresees, apart from Marianna Santoni, other tutors who will support all participants in every moment of the day: from the most simple and banal clarifications, to the most advanced doubts.

Photographic workshop: shooting to the masks in the "hidden Venice"
Marianna Santoni and her staff will talk about many aspects of photography.
Shooting in the most suggestive places "hidden" to the mass tourism (private gardens, calle, campiello (small square), gondola, historical halls, bridges…etc) with Marianna Santoni and her staff.
We will have more than 50 masks with typical costumes of the venetian Carnival provided by one of the most prestigious historical atelier in Venice.
The masks will release the model releases (if you need details about it, please contact us by email)
In case of rain, the workshop will take place into Ca' Zanardi Palace.

Gala masked dinner in the historical venetian palace Ca' Zanardi.
The "Angels and Demons" ball is a private, elegant and spectacular party. Every year there is an international public and some of the most important historical costumes and venetian masks associations. The palace halls will become an elegant and fine ballroom for one night. With strong artists who will arise to a unique show.
The "Angel and Demons" ball is considered the most sexy and transgressive event of the Venice Carnival.
The night begins with an aperitif and then a buffet dinner (typical venetian dishes) with a sit reserved for each guest.
The night is delighted by a string quartet.
Free shooting sessions with more than 70 masks available.
Among the masks there are some professional models who will be there during the gala dinner and will wear typical venetian costumes.
A make-up artist will be on the set.
The masks will release the model releases.
The gala dinner is open to eventual companions.

By Car/Bus/Train From Piazzale Roma or from the Train Station take the ferry boat n° 1. Stop at Ca' d'Oro and walk along the call in front of the pier till Strada Nuova.Turn right and go straight for 20 mt: before Campo Santa Sofia, turn left in Calle Priuli, cross the bridge and turn right. Walk along Ruga 2 wells and cross S. Andrea bridge. 10 mt and you will find Ca' Zanardi at the number 4132. |

ACCOMMODATIONS
Our agreed hotels. At the hotel you have to pay a tourist tax of Venice Municipality: € 0,90 (till Feb. 4th), € 1,80 (from Feb. 5th) per person per night.

What to bring with you
At the registration you will reach a confirmation email with the ticket: please, print it and bring it with you
the workshop day.
It has a bar code useful to make you check-in faster.
Tools and photography equipment
- an important preliminary remark: the Carnival will take place with or without rain.. ;-). In this case we will favor indoor spaces;
- a reflex photo camera (one more spare for people who didn't have or a compact one on store);
- the lenses that you usually use (don't exaggerate: you don't need a war arsenal!);
- heartily recommended a tripod;
- in general, to be comfortable, nimble during the moves and enjoy the day, we recommend to bring only what you really need and to arrange in the best way the transport of your equipment;
- rain jacket and comfortable shoes.
Gala dinner dresscode
- For photographers is not necessary a very elegant dress. We suggest a sober dress, but comfortable and dark. Who will participate to the workshop from the afternoon can change dress and prepare for the gala dinner in a room of the palace.

Companions dresscode
Workshop participant photographers apart, an elegant dress is necessary.
The guests can have a personal style, but we suggest to get inspiration from the event thematic of "Angels and Demons" as: demons, angels, wolf-men, phantoms, sexy vampires and any other character from Divina Commedia linked to the Historical Carnival. The priority is for Historical and Artistic Costumes with personalized venetian masks linked to the event theme.
This is a way to avoid the woman robe or the classical dark dress for man. Anyway, we want to create a formal atmosphere in harmony with tone and colors of the event :-).
Carnival dress rental service
Everybody needs a costume can rent masks or full dress.
carnival mask for face: € 20,00 (dozens handcraft models in exposition during the event).
Full dress rental with themed mask or make-up: € 60,00 (on request minimum two day before)
Historical costume ore venetian mask costume: € 40,00 (on request minimum two day before)
A GREAT DISCOUNT from some agreed ateliers for the guests. You can have any information at the registration moment.
Notes by the gala dinner organizers
This is a private event. It is possible to access only by invitation.
The mask is not included in the contribution.
The access to the evening is reserved and selected and the direction has the exclusion right. Participation is forbidden to minor unaccompanied.
Notes for handicapped
The location is "Easy Friendly" and the access is guaranteed to handicapped at the first and second floor. Please, let us now in advance, your needs and we will be able to offer to you all comforts and happiness.
