Her fine art background helped her developing a critical eye for lighting, tridimensionality of shapes and colors, which she translated easily when she began retouching professionally in 2000.

In 2005 Carrie formed her own retouching firm, CarrieNYC, which has an impressive client list including M.A.C., Revlon, Maybelline, Elizabeth Arden, L'Oreal, Chantecaille, Biomega, and she has had her works published on Shape Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Elle, Glamour, Vogue, W, OK Magazine, Paper, V magazine, Vanity Fair, ID, Allure, Arena and many more.
